Welcome to the Headquarters of GAE, the fusin of the AIDS council of EUtopia (ACE), The Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays Association of EUtopia (PFLAG) and the GLBT Equality Commitee for Constitutional Overhaul (GECCO).

This organisation has three key aims:

1. To allow same sex marriage and Adoption.

2. To introduce harser penalties for hate crimes agains gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transexuals, as well as all other minorities.

3. To criminalise disqualification due to sexual preference in all organisations, including schools and churches.

Roughly 10% of people in the world are in some way homosexual, although many do not admit this to themselves and many more do not admit it to others. Our organisation aims to become an important resource in helping young GLBT community members in the transition into their new life, as well as their parent, and to help them with any health concerns they may have.

On behalf of the RD, I'd like to congratulate ACE, PFLAG and GECCO on the formation of the GAE; the three organizations have been important advocates for the sexual minorities of Eutopia, and I'm sure their merger will allow them to voice their concerns even more effectively. The RD is strongly committed to equality for sexual minorities, and while we may disagree with some elements of the GAE's platform, we support most of them and share the GAE's overall goal. I hope our organizations will be able to cooperate in future struggles for equality.

With best wishes for the success of your organization,
Melanchthon

If someone does not admit to themselves or others that they are homosexual, and carry on heterosexual relationships, doesn't that make them straight? :D

Anyway, congratulations. I always like to see more representation for minority groups on our island, being the leader of the Norse Autonomy Group.

Just to make sure I don't misunderstand this....

Does this mean that the government would attempt to regulate a church's criteria for admission to the clergy?

Please remember that many churches provide both financial support and countless man-hours of volunteer service in AIDS relief efforts across the world and that the Anglican Church has repeatedly lobbied governments to increase funding for AIDS research and human services for those suffering from AIDS.

I applaud your efforts for ending discrimination, but I am a bit concerned by what could be seen as an attempt to regulate religious doctrine by the state.
