Gastrikland renamed?

Who came up with this idea?! renaming Gastrikland to Halsingland.

Gastrikland was controlled from Gavle (Gefle at that time) the first and probobly most important city in northern Sweden.

Gefle was given city rigths in 1492, during "riksdagen" in Gefle. This made it the first and formost city of northen Sweden.

Besides, all my friends in Halsingland will tease me if they find out.

The second answer (which you edited out?) was satisfactory.
I guess i have to back down on this issue, given Halsingland is far older then gastrikland.
But you could always name it Gefle because of the great importans of this city in the region.
Anyways I dont want Gastrikland to be part of Uppsala until 1490 and through an event create Gastrikland.

The developers probobly have more important things on their mind, such as watching Brynas kick Hv tonigth

It should be Helsingjaland

And historically Helsingland was basicly everything above Muppsala. Gästrikland is to small to warrant it's own province, and less important compared to Helsingland to be used on a greater area.

Na, the most important city of the region was Gefle throughout the EU timeframe. Gastrikland was controlled from Gefle.
Hudiksvall being only second and burned to the ground by the Russians during 18 century.
The regional city could be Gefle but the name of the province Halsingland ahh, and everyone is happy.

Northern Sweden? It is in middle or central Sweden you silly It is actually further to the northern tip of Sweden than to the southern tip of Sweden from there.

I think the Kiruna thing was a simple joke ^^
If you check on a map Kiruna has no coast and to the west we have Narvik which is controlled by Norway

It is poking a bit on how Narvik at present is the big port for Kiruna and the Iron ore. Thats after the time period for this game though.

Sure, its in the middle of Sweden, but in those days (15-century) Most parts of northern Sweden wasn´t more then alot of forest, some rivers and a stone or two.
Perhaps Falun came in to play when the mining of coppar ore started (can´t remember which year though)

Of course thats the joke, but its still funny (cause its true )
