Hello,
quick question:
Does gas only work for one of the armies?
I have been wrecking havoc against all enemies for quite some time until of course they caught up.
"Fine", I thought, "we can still beat them with numbers now that we play on even tech terms".
It seems I was wrong since they massacred me on more than one occasion.
Watching the battle window itself to see why the massacre was happening, I notice only their gas attack modifier in effect, while mine was inconveniently absent.
Any insight on the matter would be most welcome.
I would also like to propose a greater degree of flexibility on the "proletarian dictatorship" government type because as it stands not only the pops cannot cover life needs even with an abundance of goods available and subsidies at -25% but (I think as a result of the above) I constantly have to deal with millions of rebels, which paint the picture of a totally unstable government and state. Well I totally get the intention behind a proletarian dictatorship being oppressive and all, and I can agree partly with that notion, however the rigidness of this government type means that no reform steps could ever be made to improve peoples' happiness under any circumstances, which point to the idea that all socialist republics were inherently unstable states that had to put down rebellions every couple of years. One could not have even walked into the Cold War this way. I could also accept that more easily for a puppet state with installed communism.
The sandbox aspect of this game owed some more flexibility in that issue, I think. I mean the instability (in the aftermath) of the revolution that runs its third decade in my game, if not its fourth, doesn't seem quite right to me. Otherwise it seems (at least, to me) kind of biased when implying that the only way to satisfy peoples' happiness in a socialist republic was a successful counter-revolution.
Anyway, I wouldn't want this thread to deviate from its original purpose let's just stick to the gas attacks in this, I added the above because I wouldn't want to open a thread that unavoidably would end in a political discussion debacle. Also I hope that someone from upstairs would eventually take a look at this.
Thanks for reading.
