Hello there! Tomorrow I am going to have my first Serious Italy game in MultiPlayer.

From My knowledge, Italy is the easier to invade for the Allies. I don't want to be such one.

Shall I go 20 or 10 width garrisons for Italy (because for USA I go for 10 width and for Germany 20 width). Also, can someone give a good template for my garrisons? Please consider the weak Italian industry in the beginning of the game and the fact that I can't produce everything

5 INF + ENG is my standard Garrison division.

You just need something to prevent the enemy from immediately taking control of the province, so you don't really need a full 20w division. Just be sure to have some inland troops in reserve who can reinforce the garrisons as needed.

What you can try to do is asymmetric defense. Meaning putting 20W Inf on Sicily, Sardinia/Corsica, Balerares, Crete and so on. Maybe also on Rome itself. Areas the Allies are likely to attack. Mwanwhile the rest of the ports you can fill with 10W Infantry. If you are really daring you can put 2W 1Bn divisions on the ports around the adriatic, especially around Venice.

Most players are quite unlikely to invade there without any other forward island bases. Just put something there, so it *looks* defended, if the enemy spies with a sub.

20 width infantry with support AA and engineers.

For full memery then use mobile warfare doctrine and go down the motorised branch for a amusing buff to your divisional organisation that means it will take an awfully long time before your units get pushed off the tile they are defending, allowing you to wade on in with a reaction force.
