Question: Why are you registering to Moneybrokers. I just selected (and always have) the credit card option and filled the star marked bits. After that I was asked to confirm this on my own bank's site, and payment occurred.

I never needed to register or anything?

I did the preorder yesterday with PayPal (no card, topped up account) from work and the apparently unfamiliar IP caused PayPal to close my entire account on suspiction of hijack attempt. Got it sorted this morning, though

lol Finally! Then something similar has happened to me; at work it was impossible but at home all fine.

had a ton of trouble trying to use my visa card from a major canadian bank.

Which bank are you with? I had no issues pre-ordering with my RBC Visa.

First I "buy" V2 on GG. Im then naturaly asked to pay for my purchase, and I choose creditcard and then the type of creditcard.

After I have filled out the specifics, Im redirected to security confirmation and at this point Moneybrokers kicks in and tells me to sod off...

Don't click on the images of the creditcards.

After you have selected your payment option. Scroll down and click on Confirm Order


Clicking on the creditcard images will bring you to Moneybrokers (I have no idea why it does that though)

I got my pre-order without a hitch, just used my pay-pal account.

They directed me to Moneybookers, wich sendt me that "nice" mail

On the topic of moneybookers, the reason I nowadays use paypal for GG is that moneybookers seems to be of the opinion that my credit card has been enrolled in the mastercard securecode program. Except it isn't and I haven't yet figured out how I can.
So during the payment process they redirect me to some site where I'm supposed to enter that information, except I don't have it.

I may be wrong, but I don't think you can pay directly with your credit card in GamersGate. This is directly from their site:

"Gamersgate uses payment services, provided by other companies, and we do not deal with payments at all. All is done via payment services (like Paypal, Click and buy and Paynova), and all issues should be resolved with them."

You should get yourself a PayPal account and try that one.

I may be wrong, but I don't think you can pay directly with your credit card in GamersGate. This is directly from their site:

You should get yourself a PayPal account and try that one.

The first option (when it works - seeing other people's responses) is basically directly paying with your credit card. It has no login bs that you need to worry about. It goes through moneybrokers but you dont really have to do anything extra so it might as well be direct.

Hm, I just closed the popup when it said anything about moneybookers, should've probably read what it was about , I ended up asking a relative for his paypal account.

I have securecode on both of my cards, but it is not helping as they block my cards before I can get to the securecode pages...

Why should I do that?

Im in posestion of to perfectly valid credit cards, and IMNSHO internet shops should have a valid creditcard service.

And there is plenty that have so, even some that can sell me V2.

Im giving GG some time to respond to my complaints, but sometimes next week Im ordering from another site.

Now. This is only logical, as we get manual, map, pre-order goodies and registration code right at the purchase as well.

@Dagfinn: I notice lots of failing around here. You can buy with your credit card via Paypal without making an account there. Works like a charm.
