Gamersgate DLC compatible with Steam core game?

Hello, all.

I noticed that Gamersgate has a great sale on Crusader Kings, and I was wondering if I can purchase and use the DLC if my core game was purchased and runs through Steam. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Correct. I just tried it by purchasing one of the unit packs for £0.25, but was unable to even download it as I didn't have a Gamersgate Crusader Kings II. (I bought a boxed retail and installed through steam)

Shame really, I'll have to wait for a price drop on steam.

I would say that CKII and its DLC's will be in sale next month as Steam does holiday sales every year.

the two major dlc are out of stock at greenmangaming. gamestop with http://www.impulsedriven.com is also offering ck2 with discount.
