Will we still be able to engage in province trading with other nations?

If yes, I hope the AI trades more sensibly than in Vicky1. Far too easy to grab huge chunks of land. I retract from negotiating for land because it is too exploitable.

King, I assume that the AI will use similar logic to the EU3 AI when offering peace, i.e. it wont offer you 90% of its country as it sometimes does in Vicky1? Will there still be the same '3 province max for annexation' rule?

We are waaay too early in development for those types of questions.

Will we be able to demand the release of countries in peace deals? I know you could in EU3, but the country I wanted released often had something like 104% WS associated with it so I couldn't.

I'd like it to be actually possible for countries bigger than a few provinces... I really want to balkanize the world as Russia or UK!

fonmaly details of peace have yet to be finalised. I can say is that we won't be using the HoI3 system.

Essentially its all a matter of looking at what differs between say China as the Ur-Example of a backwards nation with good potential balanced in the degree of how much foreign influence in China versus its independence and the difference between some typical european nations, I came up with 4 Factors.

1. Corruption
2. Unrest
3. Technology
4. Infastructure/Industry
4a. Trade

So what you're basically saying is that you want uncivilised renamed to backwards, and that you want more stuff added to the checklist required to get out of backwardness/unciv? You had to raise three factors to get out of unciv, they pretty much all had to do with item number four though.

king: will we be able to see who is running for office in the various politcal parties, ie like Clay running as a Whig candidate in the US?

Id say this is a necessary addition to the political system and under discussion elsewhere although i cant for the life of me remember where. Heads of State and Government have powerful influence on the direction of the state and party and theres something of a need for representation in the game, potentially with something akin the HoI Ministers with the addition of randomly generated ministers for ahistorical directions of the game.

I presume the answer will be yes, but will the multiplayer function be improved from Victoria 1?

The multiplayer system is absed around the one in EU3/EU:R&HoI3 so if you think those were better than Victoria I then it should be.

ALthough I won't totally rule it out, it is far down our list of prioirities.
