Gamebreaking HOI4 problem

I've got this strange problem for HOI4 that only appeared in the last few days or so. I can start the game but the screen is frozen in the main menu. I can click things and hear sounds, even start a game but i only get the one start up frame. Any fixes would be greatly appriciated.
