Gamebreaking Armageddon Problem - need help

Hi everybody,
I'm doing a MP with my brother and we encountered a serious problem.
Armageddon scenario, 1.3b with SMEP.
We're in 1938 and all of a sudden he can't research any further in 3 different trees(armor, arty, decryption), the respective next techs are not choosable, despite the fullfilled requisites.
So we restart and the 3 already researched techs in these trees are gone,
he has the blueprints but the research is lost. We couldn't solve the problem and kept on playing, and now the problem is reoccuring again, with the computing tech.
Has anybody any idea what's causing this?

This game is really fun in multiplayer, but the bug you mention has ruined many of my multiplayer games in the past.

I pause the game right after I get a new technology. If I pause the game too quickly, the technology is not yet finished on the computer that host the game. Result: You will think the technology is finished when it's actually not. You won't be able to continue the tech-tree in that area. If you load a saved game, then you notice the technology is not finished, and you have to start it over from beginning again.

To solve the problem, the computer(s) that join a game need to wait a few hours/days before they change technology. The person who host the game should also say "Autosave" each time the game is auto saving. Don't do anything while the game is auto saving!


A second game breaking bug is your dissent. The host will always see the correct dissent, however, the person who joins a game might have a slightly different dissent at his screen. After 4-5h of playing, you suddenly get a lot of revolts all over your land. You understand something is wrong and you save and reload. That is when you notice a dissent of 50% or higher! It takes about a year to get rid of that dissent.

To avoid dissent, pay attention to revolts. If they happen too often, quickly save and reload. If lucky, your dissent is only at 10-20% instead of 50-60%
Also, listen to your mom and take breaks. Don't play 5-20h in a row. Take a short break after 2h of playing. (I'm not sure if that helps, never tried playing for only for 2h myself).
