Heya,

Just got the game off Epic games and for some reason the game will not launch,You click on the desktop icon..nothing,Go into epic games it shows the game is running yet it isn't..nothing has come up.

So far, ive got epic games launcher to scan for missing files (That didn't find none missing)
I've also uninstalled and re-installed the game completely and same issue.

Appreciate any help.

Running latest windows 10 updates and latest Nvidia Drivers.
Thanks

That sounds like our launcher not starting, rather than the game itself. Is that right?

What happens if you run Aftermath64.exe directly from File Explorer?

Hey thanks for the reply,I managed to figure out the problem but the forum wouldn't let me edit the post to let people know of the fix..
For anyone else experiencing the same problem you need to install the latest Net Framework and Visual C++
Once installed,Restart the PC and then the game will launch.

BUT...Now a second issue arises which means i still cannot play the game.
After I have chosen which parameters I want to play with and get to the loading screen, nothing happens. If you move the mouse across the screen, you can hear the sounds of the interface, as if I'm going over buttons/a menu, but the same loading screen is still hanging and the progress bar is not moving.

Hello,

managed to reproduce the issue and found the most likely solution as well. When you launch the game, a browser window will open prompting you to use Surviving the Aftermath with your Epic Games Account. Pressing 'Allow' should fix the loading screen issue you're having. Check the attached screenshot to see how the browser window looks.

Sorry for the inconvenience and hope you enjoy playing Surviving the Aftermath!

Ah yes!

That worked perfect,Thank you :)

Similar problem here except that when the page opens up I get
"You Can't connect this account
Due to your age, you cannot connect link.undefined.extAccount to your account"

Which is daft given I am over 18. Have turned off all parental controls in Epic

Has anyone seen this before?

I'm seeing the same error, the one about my age. I see the error web page instead of the web page asking if I want to link the game to the Epic account. I checked both my Paradox and Epic accounts, and neither says anything about me being a minor. I've already tried a lot of things, including adjusting the parental controls, but nothing has worked.

I think then that is a matter between you and PDX support or Epic support or both. Nothing we, the community can do from here.

Incidentally, did y'all click agree/allow on the EULA popup or otherwise? Strange where the age restrictions come from.
Think can remove the contents of the /Documents/Surviving the Aftermath, except for SaveGames, to get re-prompted.

Thanks for the response. I deleted those files as you said and restarted the game. I agreed to the EULA, but I still received the web page with the age restriction error. I even tried manually changing the data in the config settings file to say "IsAccountLinked=True", but that didn't do anything. I'll just have to contact Support about it.

Hello I've got my game from Epic Games and i've managed to play by allowing it in the browser yesterday, but today when I start the game again I am stuck again with the loading screen even though i've allowed it as of right now its been 15 mins and the loading bar have not move even an inch the sound still there

This is something I also encountered. My problem was related with Epic Serwer down and I was unable to connect to EpicGames and it resulted in hanged loading screen. After Epic went online problem magically ended. Check it out also if you have internet connection and Epic is allowed to reach out.
