Game Won't Launch

I try and open the game in the steam launcher. It either hangs on a "not responding" screen or does nothing at all. Shows game as running in steam and won't let me open a new one. Same thing happens when I try and launch the game from the 'binaries' file. I have restarted my computer and deleted and re-installed the game several times. Please advise.
