Game will not start(D3DCOMPILER_47.dll missing)

Since the last update, my game will not work at all, the launcher will work but all I get is the red triangle saying "game failed to launch". When I try to run the .exe from the file, I get this:

The program can't start because D3DCOMPILER_47.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I have tried everything I could possibly think of, I uninstalled the game 5 times already, I tried to repair the files with the windows launcher and deleted the files manually. Any suggestions to fix this?

Your Windows is missing an update

just run this through google or ask under "Stellaris D3D compiler" and you should find a fix

I had a similar problem and I found the missing file on DLL Installer download it and fix it easily.

You should never download individual DLLs from random websites, as they are often infected by malware. You should only install them with the proper Microsoft utility as I list above.
