Game stuttering and music crackling when many troops on the map

When i play Crusader Kings II, it "feeds" 1.2 Go of memory, that seems to be huge compared to other games, isn't it ?

I don't know, but it's normal - even on the smallish side - for this game. We sometimes have trouble fitting it in the 2gb limit of 32bit Windows.

This game has a LOT of data.
