Hi guys,
I have owned the game since it came out and i last played it at the start of September, i went to play it today, it started up and began to load but stopped at the 'Loading History Files' part, then proceeded no further for 5 minutes, although the music never stops. I ctrl+alt+del and the task manager said CK2 was not responding. I have checked over the forum, i have checked the DX, i have ran the C++ stuff, and i have even updated my drivers. I have uninstalled and deleted everything, re-installed and verified the game cache. It will not load past History Files and the game stops responding, although it does not tell Windows this, i have to go into task manager myself.
I am running a Steam version on Windows 7 (64 bit) and this is the first time ever it has not worked for me.
