Is the game going to play as fast as EU2, because that would not be fun. Is it going to be like HOI, or a slightly faster version of HOI with hours? I don't know if anyone has already answered this question.

Yes, the screenshots only show the date, so it seems that one day periods will be the unit. Or (hopefully) the real system is not in place yet (fat chance of that...).

It would be great to have a dawn/morning/afternoon/night (or something of the sort). It would end up making the game last about as long (slightly less) as a EU2 game. Someone calculated this in one thread a while back, I usually don't bother going to such details. ;)

Thats a pretty good idea, maybe something like 6 hour intervels, so you would have 0:00,6:00,12:00,18:00. 4 sections for each day would mix it up and give you some different light and dark scenrios.

Hm, I think game speed always depends on how much you do/have to do. In a hands off game you'll likely go at full speed, when you manage a large country, you'll slow down. :)

I don't see the point of having day/night/dawn variances. I'm looking for a strategic, not a tactical game. What's the point anyway, every attack always happens at dawn. Although it would be nice to see the night/day variances on the map, implementing it would mean a lot more tedious clicking with only minor gains in making the game more realistic.

Agreed, but........ if the game runs at a similar speed to EU2 then the ACW and WW1 will be over before you have chance to immerse youself in them; As in the Napoleonic era of EU2.

Whether the days and nights are split into periods or not I think good consideration needs to be given to the running speed of the game as a whole.
