Please, please, please find a way to speed up this game. I have a killer gaming computer way beyond what most upper-end users have and this game from the very start crawls. It took 6 hours to reach the year 800 from the earliest start date. HOI3 goes faster than this. Before the last two expansions the game went fast at first and would slow down;

Restoring the Roman empire and taking most of the provinces available slowed it to such a crawl by the year 1400 that I abandoned it. But, I could forgive that.

I would buy an expansion that did nothing but increase the game's speed. It's like my quad core is not being used with this game. I wonder if it even utilizes two of the cores.
