Game speed?

I didn't play CK2 for quite a long time due different reasons and decided to give it a try again lately with a CK2+ mod. Everything is great but I have a strong feeling that game speed is much faster than it was in older CK2 versions, days are going by way too fast even on the minimum speed... Am I wrong or it's true?

It is, i believe they tweaked the game speed somewhere between the original release and 1.07. Checking the changelogs should help.

The slow speed is not that bad, I play on 3 speed and pause the game any time I need to make critical decisions, browse lists or move armies etc.

Same here, 3 is good. 5 is also good for fast-forwarding.

Not that i know of, i believe the speed is hardcoded. Trying slower speeds might help though.

I'm playing with minimum spees of ^ already. But it's way too faster than same speed in Rome or EU for example.

hoe do you even get anything done at speed one? its sometimes helpfull when doing somethign complex, but it takes ages to play through 100 years liek that. i generally play at speed 2-3 in wars and all, and on speed 5 when i've got nothing to do(waiting for truces or claimant to get some kiddo's for example)

I'm always playing as tiny counties so I prefer detailed gameplay, not something complex like "ok let's wait 5 more years and do that".

still. at that speed it takes ages to get anything done. even wars becoem boring as heck that way.

Doesn't playing at the county level mean you have less to do, and therefore don't need the extra time that much? I find that x4 speed is fine when playing counties, but I have to drop to x3 or x2 speed when leading kingdoms or empires.

Nah I like micromanagement

I play on 3 for EU but 2 for CK. It's definitely about the same amount of stuff happening at both speeds, and I like it because it lets me keep a general idea of what's going on in other realms too, see if there's something I can exploit.
