In EUII if u are playing on slowest speed, for 400 years u need 80 hours.I heard that battles speed in HoI will be 1 min=1 hours,so for 10 years will need 1460 hours. So is battle speed diffrent then game speed ?

Btw. game speed should be 1min=1 day ,then game would last 60 h.

This is incorrect if u play on slowest speed in EUII it is going to take you 400 hours. 5 min per month is 60 min per year which gives us 1 hour per year times 400 years is 400 hours of gaming time on slowest speed.

keep in mind that the game (like EU2) will probably run slower than advertised on many machines due to their speed

This is what Johan said about gamespeed in the stickied FAQ.

On gamespeeds:

"Well, thats the slowest gamespeed.. Last time I checked our engine supported changing gamespeeds."

Like EU, HoI has a variety of possible game speeds. Right now, the slowest is substantially slower than the slowest in EU. The fastest is the equal of the fastest EU setting, 1 minute = 2 years. Whether your computer will be able to run the game at the fastest speed is another question. Obviously, in HoI, it's a bit pointless to run at such a fast speed anyway, unless you're playing a country that does extremely little.

Well, I don't think the size of the player's country matters for the max speed as the computer need to manage the other country. This we be the most CPU power taking part of the game, I think.

The point of my comment was that someone playing a major country would constantly have actions to take in the game and thus would prefer not to play at such a high speed. Obviously, which country is chosen to be played shouldn't have any substantial effect on the actual speed the game can be run at.

Really? At that speed the game would be over in about 10 mins, seems rather pointless to put that fast a speed in

No, you misunderstood. He was comparing the fastest HOI speed to the fastest EU2 speed (1 min=2yrs)
