To the people with 64mb RAM: I know not everyone can upgrade their computers willy-nilly (I know I cant :) ) But with the price of RAM these days you can get another 64mb for less than the price of HoI. You'll enjoy the game more too without those annoying slowdowns.

Normally, I'd not worry about this, but since I'm having an impossible time getting a new game release (Medeival Total War) to run due to my video cards, I'm curious to know what stats we should have with this. The problem with MTW is they don't tell you which cards are unsupported until you've bought the game and read the 'readme.txt' file! Then try returning it to a store with a 'return for the same item' policy. Sigh. I know Paradox would do no such evil though. I just need to know if I need to buy a new PC soon!

Ok I'll help you here: You need at least a 32 MB AGP Graphics card to run modern Games. It sounds likes you have a really old 16 MB card. If you do; You can find some 30-50 Dollar 32 MB cards at Tigerdirect.com, compusa.com, or Directron.com. I would get a cheapy just to hold you over until you can get a new Computer.

Now if you have a 32 MB card or a more recent card, Check for new Drivers. You can do that by going to the Manufacturer's Website.

Help that helps :)

For the most part I would agree with you, but these days RAM prices are extremely volitile. The price sometimes fluctuates as much as $20-30 a day! For the best prices for RAM I would recommend looking at www.googlegear.com. ;)

Naw...
http://www.pricegrabber.com

It lists all products by price, Tax, and shipping to give you the overall charge... A pretty good tool to use when buying peripherals.
