It's no secret that Stellaris has few performance issues in late game and I was believing that everybody is having them. But now I've seen guy playing on Huge map in 2600 without big problems. But I'm struggling on medium map with strong computer.

Specs :
GPU - GTX 980 ti
CPU - i7 5820K
RAM -16GB

I believe that these specs should be enough for game like Stellaris? So why am I having horrible slow downs of game around 2300 when others can easily play on 2500+?

Are my specs in reality bad, is there any mod / settings to improve this or.. or what is the problem?

Sorry for asking another late game performance question but I'm quite confused by this.

What is the nature of the slowness you mention? Slow time passing, stuttering when zooming or scrolling?

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ when having the performance problem
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

On large map the game starts slowing down near 2290 and near 2310 it's almost unplayable since it's boring to wait hours for few year to pass.

The temperature is :

Before - CPU 35°C GPU 40°C
In-Game - CPU 38°C GPU 55°C
(minor) battle - CPU 40°C GPU 64°C
