Game slows down/ Low Fps

When I start a new game, no matter the start date, I get a decent speed even in the fastest mode. However as time goes by, the game slows into a crawl.

FPS is 10-15 when paused, 60 when paused. Gets worse when I open a character tab. Is this related (FPS is like that from day 1.)

If this is a hardware issue, who is the main culprit than needs upgrading?

You are low on usable memory:

Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 4096MB RAM

Display Memory: 2807 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1015 MB
Shared Memory: 1791 MB

4096-1791= 2.305gb of memory, not much above the game's minimum requirement of 2gb. So If you can go to 6gb or 8gb of memory I'm sure that will help some.

More than that, while the game is running switch out and run up Task Manager. Right-click on ck2game.exe and set Priority to High, and Affinity to just 2 CPUs - see how that goes.
