Game seems to crash more late than early

I never had any trouble with the game crashing in the early years of my GC's, but now it seems that they crash fairly regularly in the post 1700 period. I was getting about one crash an hour or so before I stopped playing.

Is this is a known problem or related more to my system?

As soon as I started to develop Colonies ( 1510 on ) I started to get Crashes to the Desk Top every hour or so...

Difficult to say - I always got more CTD than other betas but didn't see a greater frequency later in the game (about once per 30-40 years game play). But that was the same as EU 1.10 as well.

Not sure if it's a game related thing or hardware related (suspect for me it's hardware).

there is thread in the support forum "Running problems" some of these suggestions can help you (you can skip the uninstalling part).

However, I would suspect a problem with the game rather than your hardware.

In EU I, all my crash bugs disappeared as the game was patched, so I'm inclined to think its more game related at this point than system. I've read the tips and want to thank everyone who responded.
