Game running very slow from early- mid game onward

Why is my game running so slowly? when i get about 70 years in the game speed even on max is just slow. This is an issue for me in single player and multiplayer and it ruins the game.
does anyone know any fixes or ways to improve?
Thanks in advance.

ps: i know the obvious answer is pc hardware but i dont think this is the case as i have no issues running other paradox games or games in general on high settings.

Has it always been like this for you? Or only since when?

Any mods involved?

Does galaxy size make any difference?


DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .
