That's not in the Wiki?It does get a colonist in its national ideas, and you get passive colonial range from dip tech
But that obviously explains why they were in Australia...

Thanks, that's a much more useful link than the one I was offered by the Wiki search function:
I've had this on another save of mine.
By 1613 they were in Vienna and Moscow. I'm sorry but this is just insanely stupid and ruins the game. If they become very big, like they did in real life, I don't have a problem. But there needs to be some mechanism, like say the Dutch Revolts, hardcoded into the game, which nerfs them later on. If it's Balkan independent movements or whatever I don't mind, but they need to be faced down.
It's fine and fair to say they were the dominant power in 1400-1600s but eventually they were beaten. In both my last two France saves, they had over 350k men before 1600s. How am I supposed to keep up with that? And "ally rivals" doesn't work because they kill all their rivals.
Sorry but Paradox messed up big time here. The Ottomans need to be nerfed late in the game.
No.
They got nerfed into the ground already.
the ottomans don't expand "anywhere" this patch,
all AI almost never fabricate claims with spynetwork anymore, meaning noone really expands apart from mission claims.
Ottomans tends to ally someone in the east that blocks their expansion, They usually don't even seriously beat the Mamluks.
Ottomans used to eat half HRE to the west, into India in the east, into Ethiopia and beyond and south, and into PLC into North on patch 1,17.
They don't anymore.
That's normal. They've gone to war with multiple Catholic countries with no coalition forming.
That's normal.
First, the AI almost never lets itself get a meaningful coalition in the first place; only if it gets a ruler with the characteristic that makes the AI ignore AE are you likely to see an AI country get a coalition.
Second, Lucky Nations get -25% AE Impact (and if you happen to play on VH, all AIs get -33%, which given the subtractive nature of AE Impact stacking makes for some pretty crazy situations, especially once idea groups come into play).
I don't know. I'm usually playing them.Is it normal for you that the Ottomans occupy everything from Karkow to Northern Italy in Europe?
I don't know. I'm usually playing them.
(Also, CK3 has persuaded me that the "EU5 nao plz" crowd are correct, so I'm probably not going to play again.)
Until you conquer it all, you should get plenty of warscore from the Balkans and Constantinople.I honestly have more trouble with the galley spam than the army if they get big. As the likes of Austria you are essentially locked out of warscore.
