Hi,

Would there be an option to select how fast things progress in the game? From the stream so far, everything feels very quick.

A couple of months to fully colonize a world. A couple of years for tech. Even the enlightenment of stone-age primitives, that was supposed to be extremely slow, only took 50 years. So one generation.

Don't think a single Borg has died from old age, and it's the middle game already.

Most 4X has a option to change tech cost etc. to select game speed, while Paradox's grand strategy games don't.
Since Stellaris is something in between I figured it might be included here.

He is playing on fast and doing many things at once. Lots of stuff is going on and it's hard to catch up especially that we never played the game but only observed it.

Because of all that research pop ups seems to be very frequent, but I think they are ok now, seems slower than when they started the game.

I think the OP might be referring to ingame passage of time rather than just how fast or slow it takes something to happen in real time. So far the stream game has been going on for just under a hundred years and the Blorg already have a substantial and powerful empire. I to am a little concerned about how fast it takes the game to progress. But From what I'm seeing it might be more of an issue the early game could be fast or slow depending on how big the galaxy is plus the number of empires within it. So a very dense galaxy will likely fill up faster than a more spread out one. I feel like the mid-game is where the real meat of it will be, once empire have established their borders and there isn't anything left to colonzie might cause things to slow down. But who knows for sure? We'll just have to wait for the game to release.
