It's rather intense with all the fighting.
But I always found the map rather narrow..I kinda wish it was larger.
It's a bit hard to find the smaller island provinces.. not to mention to clicking on em.. But I guess I could just turn off the shields in order to do that,

But yeah.. it's a good conversion nonetheles within the limits of the CK engine.

How are you going to mod the excess boobs, vulgarity and random sex though? Since that's 90% of the whole thing.

Have you played Crusader Kings?

He's probably and erroneously reffering to the series and revealing his total ignorance about it, since it has very little to do with any of that.
And back on a subject worth commenting instead of a troll...
Yes it would be awesome, and I am planning to make it or work on someone who does a A Song of Ice and Fire mod for CK 2, Grell who did the mod for CK1 has already commented about it too.

I'm really liking the show, apart from the fantastic side of the world conception and the history conception, the author give us a very good understanding of how some of the intrigue politics and conjunctures worked in the middle ages. And that is what keeps me watching the show because from that point of view there are very expressions of what happened in Medieval ages. Maybe a little more atention to the importance of religion and religious fanatism and fervor would fit well in this world, but is the author's own world, his own creation. And I like it! Not has much as I liked reading LOTR though :p

Good material to inspire some CK2 events, if not an entire overhaul like you guys seem to be thinking. Intrigue, childhood upbringing events (based on what you see and do rather than asking your father questions), some bits of supernatural stuff too.

Have to agree with this. Introducing certain elements in CK2 would be fantastic. The Others stir in Finland!

There's your problem. G.R.R.M. is often placed within a group of epic fantasy and sci-fi authors who are mindfully breaking with the style and structure of LOTR and all the half-assed re-do books derived there-of. The thing that makes A Song of Ice and Fire a great fantasy series is the fact that it is not in any way like LOTR.

don't get me wrong, I know the comparing the two is bit delicate. They have many differences. To me, LOTR is just the best and more balanced fantasy world, everything falls in place, and even if it doesn't have 30 races and peoples and cultures like the fantasy lore of warcraft, everything has such dept and relate so well.

About G.R.R.M. and confessing I didn't read the books, maybe this summer, for my opinion on the serie, there is not a true fantasy world, the supernatural beasts and races are reminiscence of the past, and is truly a world of Humans. I love that approach too, there is almost a rule for every fantasy world to have at least 3 or 5 races co existing, emulating LOTR in the end. This author manages to run from that and give us a rich world of humans, the plot and the story are very, very good, and i'm really loving it.

is diferent, but yet a fantasy world, and in the LOTR category, but in the end you are right, they have more diferences then similarities

So, name calling twice just because I dared to make a little joke (that offends nobody). Reveals lots about you really. God forbid someone throw a joke at one of the few super-mega-hyper serious things that define your life.

And yeah I haven't read the books but what I've seen from the show isn't exactly what I'd expect from a fantasy theme :D Too many "mature" themes, and a few people I've spoken to that have read the books actually said it's a bit toned down in the tv adaptation.

As for the topic at hand - I'd be happy to see any mod that can diversify the game, although it's a bit early to think about that isn't it?

p.s.
Hey Romtos! :D
