Game not opening & unable to see any game in multiplayer

Greetings, I have a problem with opening the game throgh the shortcut & steam library, whenever I try a popup comes up saying 'another version of this product is already installed', I can however open the game through local files, but then I can't host or join any multiplayer game.

I've had the former problem for a while now but the multiplayer problem came after the recent Majahapit patch, I've already deleted and re-installed the game twice (including deleting every EU4 file from steamapps & documents) & I've already tried going to an earlier patch (multiplayer works for me in the earlier patches) but this version doesn't work, how can I fix this?

I would also like to add that when I open it through local files, the game just starts and not the usual paradox launcher.

It looks like the launcher installation is not working correctly. Reinstalling the launcher probably helps:

1. Go to Add or Remove Programs and uninstall “Paradox Launcher v2”
2. exit the Steam app entirely
3. Delete the following files or folders, if they still exist:
   1. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2
   2. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Paradox Interactive\launcherpath (should be gone)
   3. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2 (should only contain logs)
4. Launch the game (on Windows, run steam.exe as the Windows Admin user first)
