I suggest the next patch focuses on rebalancing. In my recent games this has happened:
1) By 1500 the most developed provinces are those who will discover - but have not yet discovered - coal. That is weird.
2) By 1600 all provinces in the world have been colonized. That is way too early. Colonization needs to be harder/slower.
3) By 1700 all countries in the world have the same tech level, which they should not have. Institutions (and maybe monarch points) are too easy to get.
This sort of ahistorical development kinda ruins the game for me.

4) Also there are way too many world trade centers (lvl 3 trade cities) in the game. It seems like it has become easier for the AI to develop provinces, so even what is supposed to be relatively small/poor provinces have their own world trade center by 1700 or so.
