Which is about correct, however I suspect the characters will be more developed like more events and such.

Next DD will be about characters so it may inform about any changes.

I'm ready to bet what Johan will write:
1. Character graphical presentation
2. Attributes of character (from age to stats)
3. Religion/culture and possible (but unlikely, IMO) gameplay mechanics behing it
4. Loyalty/corruption/wealth/prestige - desciption of modifiers.

If we will see something more then I'll be veru surprised. Just look at previous DD - only information for army was that there are several types of units. The same goes with other DD = many words, with very little meaning.

Point 2 would be interesting if they talk about what these attributes are used for because we could then known about what roles there are in the government and such.

Remember the DDs are for all people not just people that have played EU: Rome and it is a good thing that stuff are similar to EU: Rome as they have said Imperator: Rome is its successor.

Totally agree, not that I'm mad about it. I'm happy that we at least get Dev diaries already with nice screenshots and at least some high level information about the foundations of the game. Can't wait to learn more about the game in detail but it's a bit naiev to think that we would already get to know the really juicy stuff this really.

The whole political stuff is probably one of the main features of the game and will probably be the subject of a new round of previews and perhaps a conference showing further down the line. To keep the hype going PDS needs to have some new stuff to tell us about it at that and not having soiled everything in Dev diaries already.

They can not reveal too much in a single DD because then there would really be nothing left for further DDs.

What is the main feature can be discussed but the important thing is that the game mechanics support each other well.

I hope that internal politics is going to be something similar to EU: Rome, but better developed as really no other paradox game have done this stuff as well as EU: Rome in my opinion.

I quite like the more board game like, clear cut approach they seem to be taking. EU4 is starting to suffer from far too much feature bloat will all kinds of systems that don't really fit together and are taped together.

Agree at some point to much is simply to much and at that point it may just be better to go back to the drawing board and look at what the core features should be and make a whole new game.

The tone in this thread is why I usually read just the dev diaries for upcoming Pdx games. The preemptive whining based on premature assumptions - never changes.

As some have pointed out we are only at the 6th DD, and we still have many cool things to show you and it won't be a bare unfinished game (it's actually pretty complex if I might say so)! For the record, we do track your feedback and thoughts, and though your hype might dissipate, I'm personally happy to see that you guys are passionate about our games and pitching your thoughts on the forum!

Look, the acknowledgement has been great. We're just exhausted from the unending monsoon of DLC's across the board. Start by laying CK2 to rest and let us focus on the other games. It's all just too damn much.

Speak for yourself. Holy Fury looks damn good. I really feel that PDS stepped up their game with respect to DLC's this past year. Not afraid to do some huge game restructuring if they feel it's necessary (stellaris), adding fan favourite mechanics (Hoi4 fuel), trying to make earlier added mechanics deeper by taking them into the base game (eu4 estates) and really revisiting the basics (ck2 crusades).

Im not sure but it seems like they have slowed down the DLC to make fewer of better quality.
