game launches without launcher appearing, can't disable dlc content

I purchased ck2 on steam. When i click play in steam the app just
launches, but from what i understand there is supposed to be a launcher
where i can select which dlc's to load. I wan't to turn off sunset
invasion. I can list dlc content in steam under game properties but I
can't disable anything there. I don't know what to do.

oops forgot to mention my os = lubuntu 13.04. desktop = lxgames

Hi mghola,

Sadly the linux version of the game has no launcher available. If you'd like to play the game with all dlc's enabled, but Sunset Invasion, then open your steam library, right click on Crusader Kings II, click on properties and choose "Set launch options".

In there you write the following: -exclude_dlc=dlc/dlc018.dlc

Let me know if that works for you.

There is a user mod aimed at linux users that provides a launcher. I have never used it and know nothing about it other than it exists, but it is there if you want to take a look.

thanks for your help i will try amending the launch options, however it would also be helpful to know the launch option codes for the other expansions can you list or link me to them? I will let you know if it works.

The DLC (not expansion) numbers are all listed in the sticky thread above with "DLC names/numbers" in its title.
