Game Jargon Glossary

Dear Community,
In the interest of increasing accessibility of this game and it's forums I though it'd be helpful to have a glossary thread of abbreviations and terms used on the forum describing things, if any are posted, I'll add them to this top post and we can get a handy reference guide going. I was inspired by the discussion of economic policy and heard the terms ROTW and OPM and had no idea what the former meant and it took me a bit to remember the latter is "one province minor," So I think it'd be helpful to have a guide, I'll add terms later, but I wanted to get this framework up now.

Well thank you, I'd done a forum search to try and find a thread, but the wiki quite clearly escaped my attention, as this apparently already exists, hey mods, can you close/delete this! (or tell me how to if I'm supposed to?)

I wish people would start spending a little more effort on typing things out entirely... this isn't a chat, you have plenty of time to type out proper responses so they're comprehensible for those unfamiliar with all the acronyms and abbreviations.

Except that typing "one province minor" ten thousand times is annoying as hell. People use acronyms in real life as well, often for the very same reasons as on this forum.

Using the acronyms and abbreviations saves brain power, not just keystrokes; I really do think "OPM", not "one province minor".

This thread makes me think of Bob and Alice. They were shutdown though because they became unintelligible.

Ugh, the independent with its Buzzfeed titles again.

It didn't remain "mysterious to everyone". Had they invested the time to follow how their language evolved they would've understood. It's just that it wasn't their goal so why put in that extra effort.

They followed the same rules humans do, only at a higher speed. Calling it a new language created by robots is stretching it immensely.
