In EU3 every choice had its consequences. While it wasn't harder, random events due to sliders positions made game more surprising... Especially as sliders were beneficial in some ways, but made others less. Idea system that replaced sliders recently isn't bad per se, but possibility to get both quantity and quality ideas, having only advantages of both seems wrong. Same thing with aristocracy ideas- it could've been good idea to back landowners for some time, but in long run- it were cities that took their place. And fact that I can take both serfdom and abolish serfdom ideas seems wrong as well- burgers and aristocracy interests were always different, in EU4 it doesn't cause any repercussions.

So please Paradox- either rework ideas so they're not only one-sided and always beneficial, or give us sliders back... And if that's too much to ask, then allow us to mod them in and rework ourselves.
