I have an idea where paradox would probably be a great developer, I would love to see a more political simulator game a bit like the geopolitical simulator series (but by someone who don't put out horribly bugridden games like Eversim has done with that series of games). I think a game that's more political would be really great to see modern or historical doesn't really matter!

So basically you are the president/dictator/prime minister of a country of your choosing and you'll have to manage everything from the state budget to campaigning to get reelected. Simply put just a good political simulator.

A game where you actually have to implement tax reforms and different bans and regulations. The possibilities would be endless like you could be anything from a ruthless dictator, religious fanatic or maybe even get to the point where you have a direct democracy. You just have to get enough popularity from the people to stay in power.

What do you guys think? Would it be a good or a bad idea?

(This post is a work in progress and I'll probably change things as I find better ways to describe the game idea better)

I honestly rather like the idea minderrx has. Perhaps you could go multiple routes, either through military uprising or through backdoor corruption. Thatd be neat.

I like this idea.
It would be amazing if it possessed the mechanics of Democracy 3 which ls literally adding and removing policies to win elections.
To follow up on your game idea, I thought it would be pretty cool if you weren't the ruler of the nation, if that makes sense.
Maybe a situation of being an adviser and changing the outcome of the game in that way? So some key events are almost as your ruler may still declare historic wars, etc
But the idea of changing national and international outcomes in history by enacting policies and so on just sounded interesting to me, might be a bit too far-fetched though.

you could always have that idea implemented by having it be that you fully fund the policy. If youre a corporation trying to influence them, just tossing money to inact a policy would be a good idea. Im assuming the corporation trying to this is mad rich, so youd have hundreds of billions of dollars at your desposal

Reminds me of a game series for mobile devices, called Dictator, in which is somewhat similar to some ideas you had for such a game. I occasionally have played it, but not often, as I don't use my phone nor tablet, for gaming.

It would be cool to see this game if Paradox ever made it. I was thinking too that it would be cool if Paradox ever released a RTS style Strategy game too.
