Hello,

Back in the days I really loved it to read a gameguide to get immersed into a world. This was
especially true when the game was complex. What about stellaris? Will there be anything like that?
Anything I can read in bed just to understand everything better and enjoy the game somehow?

Yeah, that is the main drawback of their dlc policy. The rate that they release dlc makes any game guides irrelevant relatively quickly.

More like the first free patch. Not even the first content patch. The first bug fix patch, meant to fix the bugs and exploits found in like 1 hour of game being released.
