Game "flickering" - Help?

Hello all

A few days ago, I started up my EU 4 and to my amazement found the loading screen was shaking/flickering.
And it kept doing it all the way from the main menu, into the game itself..
I tried to uninstall/reinstall it via steam, but still haven't fixed it.

I don't have the problem with any other games either.

Any good suggestions? :unsure::unsure:

Please post a DxDiag:

* Open your Start menu
* Type "dxdiag" in the search field (without quotes)
* Open the dxdiag program
* A window called "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" should pop up now
* At the bottom right-hand side, click on "Save all information"
* Save it to a place where you can find it easily, for example your desktop
* Open the file and copy and paste the text between [NOPARSE]

DxDiag looks fine, there may be newer drivers available for the video card however.

As for the flickering, could you go to My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\ and then open settings.txt (you can do this with any text editor, for example notepad).

Then check the line 'refreshRate=x', and post here wat the value is. If it is anything else than 60, please try changing it to 60 and save the file. Then restart the game.

If the above doesn't help, can you describe the flickering in more detail please? Or post a video of it?

Basically it can be a video/refresh issue as IcratoX says, or some other app and the game fighting for focus.
