Game doesn't regonise half-siblings in some cases

I have noticed in my few recent games that half-siblings are sometimes not correctly handled in successions or alliances. For example I have had a case where my rulers half-brother was not regonized as possible heir at all even if they both had the same father. Instead my sisters were next in line. he was not excommunicated or a bastard. In my current game I have an alliance with a person who is a half-brother to my brothers wife. The thing is its not working both ways he doesn't have an alliance with me as to my knowledge there is no one way alliances in this game. I have seen this few times and think these both issues are because there is some bug that makes the game not regonise half-siblings correctly for some odd reason.

Is your half-brother of a different dynasty than you? There's a known bug where people that nominally belong to different dynasties aren't correctly recognized as related everywhere, even if they are.
If not, that would be a new issue. Do you have a savegame or easy to reproduce steps to show it off?

No my half-brother was from the same dynasty as I was like my mother. I have save about it showing the incorect heirs. In it my king has two full sisters, two half brothers and a half-sister. All from the same mother who was the my kingdoms ruler all are from my dynasty also. The succession goes my current kings son and after that come the kings two full sisters. When it should be the two half-brothers as they trace the inheritance through the same mother who owned the tittle before the current king. I can understand if that the tittle was not got from the mother that the half-brothers should not have any right to it but as thats not the case they should be next in line after the current kings son.

Have to note that the alliance thing might be what you suggested but the half-sibling part is not.

Just click on my king and check the succession order and you see that the sisters go before the half-brothers.
