Game desync after 5 min

I am writing this for a friend since he can't access the forums. I guess I can add that trouble to this post to avoid several threads.

Forum problem: He can't access the forums, he gets "You don't have permision to do that". He added EUIV to his profile as soon as he pre-ordered it. I asked him to doublecheck by pressing the "My Games" tab and the forum told him "You don't have permision to do that". He then clicked "My Profile" and again he got "You dont have permision to do that". The same thing happens when he presses his nickname next to the "My Profile" tab.

Game Problem: After about 5 minutes he gets the "Your game is out of sync" error flashing for about a second before the whole game crashes to desktop. If he picks a small nation, like aztec, he can play maybe 30 minutes.

What we have tried: Resetting router and reinstalling game. He never had the Demo/Beta installed.

As it is easier to communicate with the person directly I'd like to ask if you could tell him to open a topic in the Forum Help section so that a forum administrator can help him out. I suspect, reading what he is not able to do, that he did not confirm his e-mail address, so make sure he double checks his email including the spam box and if he did not receive the email, then tell him to change the email address in his profile and then change it back to the email address he wants to use. This will make the forum engine resending the email automatically.
