Hi AndrewT

Thanks for helping me.

I don't get the blue screen of death. The image just freezes, the sound also freezes (like it repeats the same 0.1 seconds... kind of 'vibrating') and any forms of input don't work anymore.

I've attached my DxDiag.txt I'm not sure why it's not picking up my graphics card (or if it's meant to) since I've got it on a preferred setting globally.

As for temperatures:
  • Normally:
    • GPU: 44.0ºC (flat)
    • CPU: 52ºC to 65ºC (on any given core)
  • With Stellaris (after 30mins):
    • GPU: 64ºC to 68ºC
    • CPU: 60ºC to 70ºC (on any given core)

EDIT: nvm, DxDiag is picking my graphics card. I didn't see it at first.
EDIT2: Added Stellaris log files

But you said the screen turns blue?

Sorry, that was the Original Poster (I hijacked this thread).
If your symptoms are different, it's undesirable to post in the same thread. We end up with two separate conversations in the same thread, it's impossible to keep track.

Those CPU and GPU temperatures never get above 70c? That's getting up there, if they approach or hit 80c that is your problem I think. You might try checking our your cooling system to try to reduce them. CPU temp of 65c at idle is too high, we'd more typically see in the 30s or 40s.

I don't really see any other source of concern in those files, so I think it's overheating or some other hardware fault.

Sorry about that. Initially I thought they were the same.

I'll open up my laptop and clean it then see if I still have the problem.
Strange thing is that it only happens with Stellaris. I know RTSs are very processing intensive though.

Thanks AndrewT.
