So I click "play" on steam, it goes to the launcher. I have the all of the DLC's enabled. (I have tried disabling them all and launching, it was unsuccessful.) The error that comes up is as follows, "The graphics card detected does not have 512MB of video memory. Crusader Kings II require at least 512MB of video memory to work properly." The title of the error is "Legacy hardware detected." I was actually having this problem a few days ago, but when I launched, it would have the error, then my game would launch. I checked, and my video card, the Radeon HD 4870 (My GPU/Graphics card) is compatible, but it has 256MB of memory. Is there a fix for this, or a way to get around it? The game HAS worked on highest graphics and such, with this graphics card. Thank you.

Are you saying you can't click past the error now, but you used to be able to? It now crashes instead of you being able to continue?

please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload). Also open setup.log, search for "checksum", and paste that line only in here.

Error.log and setup.log were both also blank. I don't know why, but they were. And what you said in your first sentence is true, that is what happened. I would click OK on that error, and it would continue to launch the game and I could play it. Now I click the error and CKII stops responding.

I have actually found out the reason for my crashing. I can now play even with that error popping up. For some reason the network simulator that I use (Evolve) interfered with the game, and made it crash on launch.

My drivers are out of date? Everything told me they were up to date.
"Everything" being Microsoft and the Steam client? If so, ignore them, only the GPU vendor's website is worth checking that on.

Well, I didn't look at my microsoft stats, the solo fact being they're pretty unreliable on stuff like that. But I checked using my catalyst control center, and they said they were up to date. But they were indeed out of date, so thank you.
