I recently formatted my computer. When I installed EU yesterday the game crashes to desktop after the game movie. I tried to reinstall but it didn't work.

I once received an error message saying that there was something wrong with 'fmd' (IIRC there was full written before or after it, but I'm not sure). I can't check what it was, cause I don't get the message anymore. I asked this on another forum they thought it had something to do with drivers (whiuch I could have removed with the format). Does anyone of you know which driver I should install or what solves the problem.

BTW does EU have a log file for crashes cause I couldn't find one?

I tried to install the patch. It says I haven't installed the game even though it's everywhere: registry, program files, start menu and desktop.

I don't think the patch will work since I had an unpatched game on another computer on which the patch also told me it wasn't installed even though it was.

The same as I used on my own computer and it worked before.
(the computer on which it didn't work was my dad's)

I think there's something wrong wih the drivers or something like I said in my first post. If anybody knows what this 'fmd' error means (which driver I have to install), I think that's the problem, cause after the format I also missed the sound card drivers
