I have EU:Rome and well I've read all the tech support hints and nothing works. I have an alti radeon x1600 card with 1Gb Ram running on XP and am finding the constant game crashes incredibly frustrating. This game has everything RTW doesn't have and am enjoying it immensely except for the crashes. After two days of trying nothing works and frankly Empire TW is going to give me more satisfying game play as it does not crash. Can anyone help me as I would love to get into this game.

Can you describe the nature of the crashes please?
Please run DXDIAG, Save All Info, and post dxdiag.txt here (first delete everything after the Sound Devices section so it will fit). Also post your Rome/settings.txt and Rome/logs/system.log files. Note that if you use Vista and have installed the game in the suggested folder c:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Rome\, the active versions of these last two files will have been redirected by Vista to a non-system directory, like c:\users\[name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Rome\. You may have to search your C: drive for them.

thanks for quick response -I did apply the 1.3 patch but it still crashed. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it crashed on loading. Uninstalled and reinstalled and crashed a couple of days into the game. I have had several hours of play without a crash but it has worsened and now unfortunately unplayable. I will grab the info you asked for an will post it when work calms down a little. Thanks again for the help.
