Game Crashes without warning

My game has been crashing at random.

but it always seems to crash when i click on something.

and it has been something different each time, no kidding.

it happened when i clicked the diplomacy window; the trade map mode; on an army etc....

it has happened quite a few times. rather frustrating.

i'm playing on 1.2

EUIII runs fine so i don't think its my laptop.

i know its gonna be hard for you guys to pinpoint a fault like this but i will try to narrow down the cause of the crash; just thought i'd let you guys know.

crashes on diplomacy

I'm playing the game on a vista os, and it mainly crashes when working with diplomacy. other than that it's pretty fine. there has been a few other crashes but i couldn't place what it was that i did or happened. i think the game was auto saving. not sure.

Can we see your settings.txt and system.log files please. Also run DXDIAG, Save All Info, and post dxdiag.txt here (up to and including the sound device section).

Crash/Freeze

I played with the celts - not much happening - for about a hundred years and now I'm lucky if it goes through a year without crashing. I tried switching off multilayering and then the game wouldn't open at all.

It's kinda frustrating.

I suggest you start your own fresh thread with full problem and system details, you may or may not have the same cause as the OP.
