Hey, I recently just purchased Cities Skylines and was very pumped to play it. However, when I load a new map, it starts to generate but stops half way through. The game then crashes and is unplayable. I really do not want to refund this because I was excited to play it, but this has been a major let down. Is there anyone that can help my situation? Thanks.

as far as i know the cities skylines bug forum doesn't require people to register the game on the forum to see it, this partly explains the many posts for other games in there.

That would be an excellent reason to require people to have to register, aside from the freeloaders.
I haven't registered mine (I just don't want to), and I can see and post in there, so anyone should be able to, as you have deduced.

I you have downloaded loads of custom assets from the workshop already, then that is most likely the reason. If so, the game hasn't crashed, it just needs a long ass time to load all the assets. If you click or disturb or the game during this process, it will behave as if it has crashed, but it hasn't. Just go make some food.

'Loading screen mod' and 'Less steam' are essential mods if you plan on using a lot of assets. They reduce loading times substantially.
