that's...odd

so no other alterations to your galaxy settings do this?

only tweaking the mid and end game year times?

and to clarify does it crashing while you are setting the game up or when you are actually in game and it hits this supposed time point?

this sounds like a possible bug, but it is hard to say for sure

list off all your galaxy settings (i.e. ai empire, fallen empires, etc) everything...there may be more to this

but there is a list of things you can do to "try" and fix the problem, it'll take a bit and I can in no way guarantee it will fix the issue, but if you try to contact Microsoft tech support, they'll just have you do it, so...

1) Uninstall the game/dlc causing issues
2) Remove your account from the system
3) Reset your Alternate Mac Address
4) Once your system has rebooted from that, Cold Start your Xbox [hold the power button in until the system shuts off]
5) Unplug your Xbox
6) If possible, unplug your internet modem/router
7) Wait about 5 min
8) Re-plug in both your internet modem/router and Xbox
9) Once you have internet back, turn your Xbox on and re-add your account to the system
10) Reinstall the game/dlc and see if the problem persists

Yes it is only the years I’ve changed. It crashes once I get to mid way through
