As the title says, the game crashes as soon as I attempt to play anything. As you will see in my DxDiag, my rig is very much above the minimum specs required. Also, my ports are open, I have verified the files multiple times, and I have reinstalled twice.

Are your graphic drivers up to date?

Perhaps manually reinstall Steam\steamapps\common\Dungeonland\redist just incase.
And find a recent game you have and perhaps reinstall directx. Usually within the /redist/ folder of a game

Updated graphics drivers, reinstalled the redist, and also reinstalled directx. Still crashing as soon as I attempt to do anything, but thank you for the suggestions.

Exactly when does the game crash when you play it? Is it whenever you try starting a game, no matter if local or online? Does it crash after the hero select screen or before it? Or does it crash, as your second latest post indiciates, right when you get to the main menu?

How does it crash? Does the game stop responding, do you get an error message or does the process simply close?

The game isn't intended to run directly from the .exe, only via Steam.

Alright, so about 75% of the time it will get to the main menu screen and immediately crash. It will say that dungeonland.exe has stopped responding. If for some reason I make it past that, if I click on DM mode at all, it immediately crashes. It will allow me to click play local, but after being in the game for about 5-10 seconds, it does the same exact thing.

Unplayable, game crashes constantly

As topic, i cannot play the game for more than say 20 seconds, then it crashes with the following error message. which i just realized is in german. oh well, i guess you know what to make of all those numbers :)

i updated visual c redistributables, directx, my graphics driver, rebooted properly, do not block anything in my firewall and do not have that kind of problem on any other game.

my computer definitely exceeds the minimum requirements, i'm running win7 64bit. i uploaded my directX diagnostic report here:

Since the newest patch, I have attempted to play a few local games. Every one ended the same way. The game would run fine until I had some kind of special event happen, like an elite spawn, or a danger event. When this happened, the game would either crash immediately, or as soon as that monster died. Also, any kind of multiplayer or DM mode (either side) results in the game instantly crashing.

It seems that the issues happen more often with Radeon Graphics cards. So far most complaints have come from customers of theirs.
I have Nvidia card and game works mostly fine.

Crashing

My Nvidia card crashes as well. I have a 560 TI card.

I crash whenever I try to join games, or go on DM mode. I can host other games but after 10-20 seconds it crashes. Its a shame I cant find any solutions online because me and my friends wanted to play. Sadly Im left in the cold hearing them enjoy themselves :/

Hi,

I already mentioned my problem in the latest patch thread, but I wasn't able to fix my problems.

Before the last patch the multiplayer was very unstable. After the last patch the overall connection was much better. But since the patch, my game crashes always. At the moment I'm not able to finish just one game.

What I got are:

-Missing Textures which are just black and cause a crash after some time
-Instead of a menu it's just black and causes a crash
-Some cards get black and cause a crash.
-From time to time (but less often then before) the connection doesn't work and then there is a chance for a crash
-And then the game crashes from time to time without any reason.

Sometimes I get a DirectX error, some other times the game just doesn't react anymore.

I tried to verify the integrity of the game and I already downloaded the game completely new. Nothing helped.

As I said: At the moment the game is not playable for me, even in singleplayer it crashes.

My PC:

Core i7-3770 with 4x3.4Ghz (plus 4 virtual cores)
GeForce GTX660 with 2GB Ram
16GB RAM
Windows 8 64 Bit

I hope someone can help me.

Still waiting patiently on a fix. However, paying for a game that I haven't been able to play for nearly a week is not what I would call "fun".

I had thousands of crashes since the last patch, too.

I deinstalled the game, deleted everything from the steam folder, cleaned the registry, installed the game new and till now no crashes.

Please try a complete reinstall if you have problems like this.

- Remove all local content (right click the game in your steam library)
- Manually delete any files/folders left on your computer (in the steam library and your user library)

I will try that again.

I found a log file in the remaining files which is full of errors and exceptions. Maybe you can do something with these information, I will put it in the attachements.

And then I will see if reinstalling the game again will solve the problem for some time.
