Game crashes at start

(Sorry for the bad spelling/writing, but I'm not a native english speaker)

Each time I start a new game (with starting a new game I mean selecting a character and clicking start game) the game crashes after applying history, and I have no idea why. I haven't checked if this happens with saved games too.

Note: I installed the new version of the a Game of Thrones mod today, so that can have something to do with it, I don't think so, however, for when I tried to start a game without the Game of Thrones mod (but with SoI), it still crashed.

Also, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post this at Bug Reports or not.

Note 2: I'm playing the game on Steam

Press right mouse button over the crusader kings ii in steam library and chose properties -> local files -> check integrity of game cache. Let it run and it will check the files and download new ones for those that don't pass the check. Let us know if this helped you or not.
