You almost certainly have the Citrix Workspace problem.

Thank you for the reply.

I did used to have Citrix installed, but as far as I can see I've already uninstalled it. I had a look through my program files and can't find it there, unless it's somehow still lurking somewhere. Is there something else that it could be? Or is the have just not going to work for me?

The crash is utterly typical of the Citrix issue so I am sure it is still there. The problem is caused by it creating a virtual video device , which the only version of Unity this game uses cannot cope with.

If you run dxdiag.exe you'll see that device still there I am sure. I don't know enough about Citrix to know how to get rid of it but that's what you'll have to do!
