Game Breaking Slow Down

Hello,

Ive recently started playing CK2 after the Charlemagne update and began a campaign in India. I have been playing for quite some time now but well into my game I ran into some HUUUUGE slow downs it's gotten to the point where I literally can't play the game, Every time I load my save everything seems fine and smooth up until I hit the speed up button, doesn't matter what speed I choose it just drops the fps to around 1-2 I seriously can not do anything :/

This is just in one particular save game, right? We've seen this when there's a huge empire across half the world - and suddenly civil war breaks out, or other widespread rebellions. Does that describe the situation?

If so there's not much can be done about it, I'm afraid - you have to work through that period, or edit out many of the rebels.
