Hi! I'm not sure this is where to post this, but I couldn't find a dedicated bug reporting thread.

Anyway, So in my latest game I'm chugging along as my authoritarian/fanatical xenophobe empire. I have a species that I have enslaved and I have enjoyed the challenges of a stratified society. I was lucky enough to find and colonize Fen Habbanis, growing it into the industrial heart of my empire, with mineral, industrial, and science planets all supporting the effort.

I'm also hunting a few achievements (I have always played with mods until the most recent patch) and decided to go for Synthetic Evolution, as I already have the achievements for the other 2 ascension paths. I proceed along this path and then when I finally complete my synthetic ascension, I am met with a massive economic change. All my slaves have been made into a synthetic species... the same one I am! (Also, all of my traits have been eliminated [which may be how it normally works, I forget]). And while this certainly feels wrong, I can handle it. But the real problem is that now, NO ONE in my empire is allowed to serve as a ruler. This sucks! Not only has this tanked my amenities and stability, but it totally undoes the nobility/serfdom theme I had going on. Sure, I can respec my economy and change my civics. But this completely breaks the game!

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there any way to deal with it?

Thanks for your help! And hopefully the developers will see this when they're back from vacation.

I always though Synth as Rulers unlocked by a dangerous tech which you need to get Synth Ascension 2.
are you sure you haven't missed some policy setting? (cuz you were showing only species tab, not policies)

Hi! I'm not sure this is where to post this, but I couldn't find a dedicated bug reporting thread.

There is another AI policy you have to set before completing the second project. The option vanishes afterward, so your new synths will not be able to take ruler positions. If you set them to full rights beforehand, you will have no problem. Still a bug though.
