I propose adding an optional layer to the galaxy map, used as a toggle-button in the bottom right of the HUD.

This button is to display all the Galactic Terrain features at a glance:
  • Systems containing nebulae, space storms, pulsars all highlighted and colour-coded
  • All known wormhole links
  • All known gateways flagged up
  • Potentially strategic resources - all of them, or just dark matter, liquid metal, zro etc

Being able to see these features at a glance would be super helpful when planning expansion, or realising how potentially vulnerable you are to being invaded from the other side of the galaxy from a series of wormholes!
